Phuket (Thailand)

A dream-like destination, the biggest Thai Island, Phuket is one of the first tropical seaside resorts in the world thanks to idyllic white sandy beaches bordered with palm trees. You have warm temperatures all year long (22 to 34 degrees on average) due to the proximity with the equator that minimizes the monsoon effects. Jus as its landscapes, Phuket's nightlife is colorful. From the small local bars to the huge and famous clubs, there's something for everyone to party until the sun come up!

Patong Beach

At the heart of Phuket's Island, the white sand of Patong Beach and its nightlife bring the seaside resort to one of the top destinations for visitors.

The beach is several kilometers long with turquoise blue waters. The place is ideal to spend your day relaxing under the sun and occasionally go for a dip.

As the sun sets, Patong Beach wakes up to become vibrant! Tens of restaurants, bars and clubs bring a festive atmosphere and make the city a great place to party.

Bangla Road

Bangla Road is the nerve centre of Patong Beach. The 400m long pedestrian street becomes a festival of music, lights, alcohol and sexy girls! Clubs and bars located all along the street have one goal: sustain the reputation of the city as a major place for partying in Phuket!

EXCURSIONS

Koh Phi Phi - Maya Bay

Maya Bay is the beach where the movie "The Beach" was shot. Located on Koh Phi Phi Island and accessible by boat from Phuket, this heavenly cove is a must see with its turquoise blue waters, white sandy beach and high boulders.

Aside from the moments you will spend relaxing on the beach, the island offers various activities such as scuba diving, pedestrian excursions through the National Park, water sport (water-ski, wakeboard...) and the bravest will take a dive from a cliff. You can also go on a trip to meet the apes of the island.

To end your day on a high note, Maya Bay is ideal to have a barbecue while watching the sunset.

James Bond Island

Khao Phing Kan is famously known as James Bond Island since the movie (which was shot on the islands) "The Man with The Golden Gun" came out in 1974. Khao Phing Kan is a couple of islands located on the West Thai coast. Famously known after the movie came out, it became part of Phang Nga National Park.

It's the perfect place to go sailing or kayaking. Most of the excursions to James Bond Island include stops at other surrounding islands. It's the occasion to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at one of the fishermen's harbors.

Trekking on an elephant

Aside from the idyllic beaches and majestic temples, tourists' top activity is trekking on the back of an elephant. The trek lasts about 45 minutes; you go through the jungle on higher ground to enjoy an amazing view over the bay of Phuket.

Banana Beach

Banana Beach, sometimes called "Banana Rock Beach", is not the most touristic beach of Phuket (due to its isolation) but it is certainly one of the most beautiful. Its 180m long of white sandy beach offers an oasis of calm to the tourists who venture to its shores.

You will find a seafood restaurant and Thai masseuses under the shade of the palm trees to give yourself a nice treat between two baths in the turquoise blue waters.

Tachai Island

Tachai is a 12 square kilometers island that belongs to the National Park of Similan Islands, in the province of Nga. Tachai Island is particularly famous for its scuba diving sites.

Boat trips around the island can be booked from Phuket and Khao Lak. Boarding takes place at Baan Nam Khem fishermen's harbor, just the occasion for you to have a peak at the fishermen's everyday life while waiting for departure.

The only residents of the island are the National Park's rangers and it's in their camp that you will stop for lunch after a snorkeling session. For the rest of the day, you can either go discover the wilderness of the island or simply enjoy the sun and the beach.
