The occasion might not present itself again so it is strongly advised to go see this jewel of the Mexican civilization between two nights out. Chichen Itza is a city lost in the middle of the Yucatan Forest, located an hour drive from Cancun. You can book the excursion directly on spot, at your hotel or in the streets of Cancun, where you can not miss the salesmen. Several choices will be possible for you (including or excluding meals, with detour in the famous Cenote of Ikk Kill or not).

➡️ Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is a small paradise island located right in front of Cancun, accessible by boat in just 20 minutes, with rotations all day long, until the evening. The island is considered as one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, full of charm and authenticity. It's the perfect choice to get away from the noise and activity of Cancun. Upon arrival on the island, you can either stay near the harbor, with its beautiful beach where shops, restaurants and bars abound. An incredible experience in crystal clear waters and underground caves where light pierces the walls. Excursion possible from your hotel or vendors in the streets of Cancun.

THE NIGHTLIFE IN CANCUN

Cancun is not the most famous city in terms of Spring Break for nothing. Indeed, if it is endowed with this reference, it is particularly thanks to its numerous clubs you can find there, all as disproportionate as the others. If the Cancun hotel zone extends over a long stretch of 22 kilometers of sand, all the clubs are concentrated in a single zone. Nothing will surround you, apart from open nightclubs along the street. You can even confuse the music and not know where to look. The advantage of Cancun is that it stays just as crazy, even outside the Spring Break. There will always be an air of Spring Break once night falls. Here are some examples of clubs in Cancun:

⭐ The Coco Bongo
Coco Bongo is probably the best-known place when it comes to Cancun and its nightlife. Indeed with a capacity of nearly 2000 people, Coco Bongo is the master in terms of entertainment. It's a club that combines music and awesome shows all night long. It really will blow you away and you will not regret your night at Coco Bongo. You will enjoy the Open Bar throughout the evening between Latin music and electro, all in front of a show of French cancan and acrobats.

⭐ The Palazzo
The Palazzo is one of the biggest clubs in Cancun. This is the favorite club for the fans of electronic music. In the shape of a circle and on several floors, between CO2 canons and gogo dancers, you will not regret your night at the Palazzo.

⭐ The City
The City is the biggest nightclub in Latin America. Any self-respecting clubber must go at least once in this complex. With a capacity of 6000 people, you will probably see here the craziest atmosphere of Cancun. It's here that most of the world's biggest DJs are booked. It’s a must see.

⭐ The Vaquita
You can’t miss its decorations from the street, the Vaquita is a famous club in Cancun. Small, and open to the street, it has one of the warmest atmospheres of Cancun. Gogo dancers on stage and confetti all night long. Entrance with Open Bar.

At night on the street side, the Mandala night-club takes over and it's impressive. The club is open on the street, and you will have the impression of being on a stage. And the level of the service? Gogo dancers and CO2 canons with a great mix of music, everything is there to give you great memories.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Mexico, cradle of the Maya and Aztec civilizations is known worldwide for its historical appeal but not only. Mexico has many other assets. It is often presented as a paradise on earth but ruined by a bad reputation linked to banditry. This is absolutely not the case of the Quintana Roo Region and Riviera Maya, where you will not find more welcoming than the people of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Here are some tips and information for your next vacation:

The Climate
In Cancun, you will never be cold, no matter the time of year, even in the evening thanks to the tropical climate of the country. A hot and humid season from May to October leave room to a dry season from November to April. The temperature is around 30 degrees throughout the year.

The Language
The language spoken in Mexico is obviously Spanish but you will have no difficulty yourself understood in English.

The Change
The currency used in Cancun is the peso. However, you can also pay in dollars, both currencies are accepted in the city of Cancun. (Tip: favor the peso, prices are generally more expensive in dollars than in pesos) Avoid if possible exchanging your money at the airport, the exchange rate is often better in hotels (if possible) and banks.
1 € = 22 pesos / 1 $ = 19 pesos (rate at the beginning of September 2018)
