WOW Hostel
The hostel developed a rather uncommon concept mixing art, ecology and the meeting of different cultures. For your confort, you can choose between a bed in mixed dormitories or women only or a comfortable double room with simple decoration and relatively spacious for Amsterdam. You will be able to discover their universe through several spaces: Plantage (the urban farm whose aim is to experiment growing food in urban areas), Plaza (the court at the entrance of the hostel where customers mingle with residents of the area for various events) and the Patio (to enjoy the quiet sun after a long night spent dancing).
Wifi access is free, which will keep you connected during your stay. While waiting for your flight, your train or your bus, you can also enjoy a luggage service.
Rooms
Dorms (4, 6, 8 or 12 in bunk beds) - You can choose a bed in a mixed dormitory or women only. The bathroom is in the room or in the hallway. Bed linen is provided, wi-fi is free of charge. You will also have a locker to keep your belongings safe. Breakfast is included.
Family room (maximum 6 persons) - 3 bunk beds with free wifi, private bathroom, bed linen and breakfast included.
Deluxe double room - The hostel has two double rooms in a beautiful open space area with TV, free wifi, private bathroom, bed linen and breakfast included.
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is until 11 am.
No need to introduce you to the world capital of electronic music which saw the birth of the musical genre before it was exported abroad. The Dutch have the biggest DJs, countless parties all year round and even 24h/24 every weekend in some places! Besides being a cradle for electronic music, Amsterdam is also considered the cultural capital of the country. There are many museums of international renown. Its famous Red Light District and its coffee shops attract millions of tourists every year who come to experience the pleasures of a city often cited as one of the most pleasant to live in. Small independent breweries cross multinational giants like Heineken and make the city a popular destination for lovers of good draught. The concentric canals of the city are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage and give the city its nickname of Venice of the North.
This hostel offers a rather original concept as it combines a hostel and studios inhabited yearly by Amsterdam’s art students. Obviously, you will perfect your English if there ever is a place for that! Cultural exchanges here are favored and you will be encouraged to open up to the influences, the universe and the vision of the world of the creative young people of the city. It is therefore not uncommon to attend a small improvised concert or a performance in the common parts of the hostel.
The more eco-friendly people will be able to help cultivating the vegetable garden, the "urban farm" of the complex and meet the inhabitants of the neighborhood. Nice to have a little greenery in the city !
The hostel is a little far from the city center but well connected to public transport by a ten minutes walk. Plus, free lockers are at your disposal in order to safely store your luggage during your day of sightseeing or your party night.
Caution: Travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the same room.
You can book your bed or room, breakfast is always included.
The hostel offers daily specials made with fresh products at a unique price of € 7.50. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am every morning.
Check with the consulate of the country of destination if a visa is required, but also with any countries crossed if a transit visa is required.
